Join us for our very first Saturday Night late at Flo – with a Kirtan Music Event.
A heart-opening and uplifting evening of music, mantra, and connection. Whether you’re completely new or deeply familiar with this practice, all are welcome just as you are.
What is Kirtan?
Kirtan is a form of bhakti yoga – the yoga of devotion – where we come together in community to sing or chant sacred mantras, often in a call-and-response format. It’s less about performance and more about participation, expression, and heart connection. The vibrations of mantra can calm the mind, uplift the spirit, and gently guide us home to ourselves.
You don’t need to be a “singer” – your voice, exactly as it is, is welcome here. This is a space to feel, to soften, to express, and to be held in community through the power of sound.
Expect:
Live music and mantra
A relaxed and inclusive atmosphere
Space to listen, sing, sway, or simply be
A gentle introduction to the meaning and magic of each chant
Come with an open heart, and let the rhythm of the evening guide you inward and connect with others in the community.
What to possibly bring:
A Mug for Tea, warm clothing and a cushion if you struggle to sit on the floor on a mat for some extra comfort.
